Europapier International AG, a subsidiary of Heinzel Group, has signed an agreement on 16th July 2012 to acquire the local merchant business of PaperlinX Group in Hungary, Slovakia, Slovenia, Croatia, and Serbia. It has been agreed that Europapier International AG will take over 100% of the shares in Budapest Papir Kft., Bratislavska Papierenska Spolocnost s.r.o., Alpe Papir Trgovina na debelo d.o.o., Adria Papir d.o.o., and Dunav Papir d.o.o., and thus become the sole shareholder of these companies.

The Supervisory Board of Heidelberger Druckmaschinen AG appointed Dr. Gerold Linzbach as Heidelberg CEO with effect from September 1, 2012. Bernhard Schreier, CEO of Heidelberg, will not be extending his management contract when it expires midyear 2013 and will be leaving the company at the end of 2012.

Thanks to a good showing at drupa trade fair, Heidelberger Druckmaschinen AG (Heidelberg) has made a positive start to financial year 2012/2013 (April 1, 2012 to March 31, 2013). Based on preliminary calculations, incoming orders for the first quarter increased to some EUR 890 million (previous year EUR 665 million) - their highest level for four years.

The new product-group arrangement and the change of halls at the Exhibition Centre are the result of numerous discussions with exhibitors and an analysis of the visitor survey.

More than 310 exhibitors have already confirmed their bookings for Fespa 2013 (ExCeL London, 25th to 29th June 2013), nearly doubling the exhibitor numbers in comparison to the run up to Munich in 2010. Many exhibitors also plan to expand their presence compared with previous shows, adding more exhibition space to showcase their products.
