Meech to Showcase New Products in Static Control and Web-Cleaning Ranges at ICE Europe 2013

Meech International is set to use ICE Europe (19-21 March, Hall A5 – Stand 1132) as a launching pad for its brand new static elimination bars, the Hyperion 971IPS and Hyperion 929IPS, along with its recently released non-contact web-cleaner, the CyClean. While the latter is designed for wide webs and coating applications, the two static bars are particularly suitable for converting machinery.

Polish Printer DTL Very Happy with its New Rapida 75

Polish printer DTL has its premises in Porąbka, a community nestled in the foothills of the Beskids near Bielsko-Biała in the south of the country. It is already a longstanding user of sheetfed offset technology from KBA. The latest investment was a Rapida 75 with five printing units, coater and perfecting after the second unit. It replaced a Performa 66 and has lent a significant boost to production capacity in the printshop.

Wearable Stratasys and Materialise 3D Printed Pieces Hit Paris Fashion Week

Stratasys Ltd. (NASDAQ SSYS), a leading manufacturer of 3D printers and production systems for prototyping and manufacturing and Materialise, a Belgian-based pioneer in Additive Manufacturing software and solutions, announced the unveiling of 3D printing collaborations on the catwalks of Paris Fashion Week as part of Iris van Herpen’s Haute Couture show, ‘VOLTAGE’.

Dutch designer van Herpen’s eleven-piece collection featured two 3D printed ensembles, including an elaborate skirt and cape created in collaboration with artist, architect, designer and professor Neri Oxman from MIT’s Media Lab, and 3D printed by Stratasys. An intricate dress was also designed in collaboration with Austrian architect Julia Koerner, currently lecturer at UCLA Los Angeles, and 3D printed by Materialise, marking the second piece created together with Koerner and the ninth with Materialise.

Drytac Europe Appoints General Manager

Drytac Europe Ltd., a UK-based manufacturer of graphics finishing products and equipment, has appointed Tadeusz Niedziółka as general manager.

New Head of Heidelberg "Digital Printing"

Jason Oliver (42) has been appointed head of "Digital Printing" at Heidelberg and is now responsible for all the company's Linoprint systems for the commercial and packaging printing sectors. He is taking over from Dr. Christian Compera, who left the company at the end of the year at his own request.

New Head of the New Heidelberg "Very Large Format and Postpress Packaging" Business Area

Since early 2013, Stefan Hasenzahl (50) has been in charge of the newly founded "Very Large Format and Postpress Packaging" business area at Heidelberger Druckmaschinen AG (Heidelberg). This unit pools all the company's activities associated with the large-format Speedmaster XL 145 and XL 162 presses and postpress systems for the packaging printing sector.

The doors to FESPA Global Print Expo and European Sign Expo 2021, Europe’s leading exhibitions for speciality print and signage, will open in just a few days (12 – 15 October 2021 at the RAI, Amsterdam, The Netherlands).
