EFI and Heidelberg Canada announced a new agreement under which Heidelberg will distribute the VUTEk GS series of superwide format digital printers throughout Canada.

After highly successful presentations of the half-format press Rapida 75 in Germany, the KBA roadshow under the banner “Route 75” recently moved on to South America. The latest tour began at the end of June with a visit to packaging printers Grafijor Embalagens in the Brazilian city of Sao Paulo. A four-colour Rapida 75 coater has already been in production there for four months.

Marabu is to unveil its new low-migration, silicon-free ink, UVSF 174, at this year’s Labelexpo in Brussels. Opaque and versatile, this product can be used as a white base or to print text on product labels on cosmetics packaging.

Fujifilm has installed the first Jet Press 720 in Europe in the company’s demonstration centre in Brussels. The installation was completed in late June 2011, with the company now carrying out final preparations for customer demonstrations which are due to start very soon.
