Mark Andy has announced the death of Michael Richardson, one of the original stalwarts of the Label Industry in the UK and throughout Europe.
He was a visionary to the industry, and instrumental in introducing and building flexo technology into the prominent market position it has today. Michael founded Mark Andy UK in 1993, and was the driving force behind establishing its leading market position. He retired in 2002.
Michael was an ebullient character who brought immense passion and charisma to everything he touched or was involved in, with rugby and game shooting being major parts of his successful and fulfilling life. In recent years he fought valiantly in a struggle against cancer, and will be sadly missed by many, not only in the label industry, but by all those whose life he touched.
