Hunkeler Innovationdays Finished

After five days and again with over 5000 visitors, Hunkeler Innovationdays 2013 is now history. Guests made their way from throughout Europe and overseas to Lucerne. Their goals were to visit a compact trade fair with great variety of solutions on display, and to learn more about the latest developments in digital printing solutions.

At booths set up by Hunkeler and some 70 exhibition partners, the vistors could experience first-hand versatile solutions in a production environment with real-world applications, and in some cases workflow applications spanning multiple booths. Publishing on demand, mailpiece production and transpromo applications were the focus of the activity. Besides manufacturers of large production equipment being in attendance, suppliers of consumables and software developers ensured there was a complete range of products. The attendee profile once again increased in quality. Hunkeler attributes this to the decision to focus this year's innovationdays again completely on the roll segment.

In the Hunkeler booth, people were particularly interested in the HL6 laser module, the enhanced modular book block solution and POPP8, the latest generation of Printer Online Paper Processing systems. With a speed exceeding 300 meters/minute and a range of printing substrates now increased up to 350 g/m2, POPP8 once again breaks new ground in the evolution of modern paper processing.

The Hunkeler innovationdays event has become the industry's most important meeting place – something on which exhibitors, attendees and the international trade press all agree. While other trade fairs are resizing, this industry event started by Hunkeler is gaining in international prestige and popularity. In this light, extending the duration of the fair by another day proved to be a good decision. Further, the dates for the next edition have already been set: Hunkeler innovationdays 2015 will once again take place in the Messe Luzern exhibition facility, from February 23 to 27, 2015.

Hunkeler, the event organizer, extends its thanks to all the attendees and partners for their participation. Thanks to them, this trade fair has been able to retain its unique, lively character while time and again improving its quality.
