Change in Ryobi Distribution Channel in Germany and Parts of Europe

The management of C. Illies & Co. (GmbH & Co.) KG (Hamburg, Germany) formally announced the decision to cease operations in it’s Illies Graphik Division in Hamburg as per December 31st 2012.

Illies Graphik is the importer and general distributor of Ryobi Ltd. sheetfed offset printing presses in Germany and several other European countries, as well as sales agent of several other graphic systems and technical products.
Mr. Michael Illies, Chairman of C. Illies & Co. says:
"Illies made the strategic decision to focus in future on it’s core competences, namely on the Asian export markets for technical capital investment goods. In line with this strategic focus we have decided to withdraw from the business in the graphic industry in Germany and Europe as per end of this year, to open the way for Ryobi to appoint a new distributor for our markets in Germany and our markets in Europe. We are closely coordinating all further steps with Ryobi for a smooth transition of all activities. We will ensure full coverage of all our ongoing after sales activities until the new Ryobi distributor takes over. Illies is committed to all existing obligations towards customers and business partners and will fully support Ryobi in order to establish it’s future distribution channel. There are viable negotiations ongoing as to the appointment of the future distributor and we are confident that further announcements will be made by Ryobi within a short time."
